Population: cca 446 900 inhabitants
Location: Bratislava is situated in Central Europe. It is stretching at the foot of the mountains of Small Carpathians and on both banks of the Danube river, the second largest river in Europe. Bratislava borders three countries: Hungary from the south, Austria From the west, and Czech Republic from the north. The distance between Bratislava and Vienna (the capital of Austria) is only 65 km; Bratislava and Budapest (the capital of Hungary) are only 180 km away from each other; and Bratislava is 330 km away from Prague.

There are five main bridged in Bratislava. The most interesting, architectural, and the newest bridge is Apollo, which started to operate in 2005.
