Ski resort Tatranská Lomnica

Well developed resort infrastructure: restaurants, two national restaurants, stores, banks, transportation stations, recreation park, skating rink, indoor tennis courts, attractions, museum of National Park High Tatras. Jamy area is equipped with two lifts and attractive mostly for beginners and intermediate skiers. All area slopes are covered with artificial snow. Night skiing is also possible. Skalnate Pleso is the most interesting skiing area in Tatranska Lomnica.Four-seats high speed funicular transports skiers from the center of resort to the slope top at 1772 meters. Experienced skiers can use two-seats funicular to reach Lomnicke Sedlo (2196 m) where high difficulty slopes begin. The longest in Slovakia skiing slope (6060 m) makes its way from Lomnicke Sedlo to Tatranska Lomnica and has a vertical rise of 1293 meters. Since Skalnate Pleso doesn’t use the system of artificial snow, the skiing season opens later. However, it stays open until the middle of May. Upon favorable weather conditions funicular is open to transport visitors from Skalnate Pleso to one of the highest peaks of Tatra mountain Lomnicky štit (2632 m), where they can observe breath-taking panoramic view of High and Low Tatras.
